how to 增加更多vocab
我已經day day read dictionary
但D vocab 只能短暫記住
有咩方法可以know 更多vocab ar? 仲要係長時間的記憶喎!

睇多D,用多D就識ga la. I am too lazy to read, therefore, most the words I know are only related to my work such as the terms in tender docunments & other construction terms. But my wife loves to read story books so that she know a lot more words than me. I found that hard to know English better when I was in HK, I didn't have enough chances to use it. Thank god I worked at Dairy Farm Airport Catering Department when I was there and still had the chance to speak English on a day to day bases. I believe I could speak better than average when I was there.
Try to memerioze from the dictionary is not a very good method. Because if you don't have the chance to use those words, they only can be a "short term" memery in your brain. The only way that I can suggest is read more. Try to read more newspapers or books (of course in English). They might help. I also noticed that you like to write. Try to write in English instead of Chinese. That will increase the chances for using English and should improve your English too. [O-)]

我明白but read 完newspaper後過兩日就forget哂
而且有時未聽過or聽過only一次的vocab就銘記於心
死讀爛讀果Ｄ dictation後就冇哂

所以要把握機會,多聽,多講,多練習就得ga la.

我巳經練緊睇英文台時完全唔睇字幕ga la
至於多講呢...
只有係英文堂同睇newspaper個時'猛咁講'

Oh well, you can only do so much, I guess. It is quite difficult if doesn't have the enviornment. Just keep trying and work hard. That's all I can say.

我觉得香港不可能提供让你突进的方法，除非你出国。
我可以说就算找些在会考拿A的高才生，如果他没接受集中式的训练，刚到美国一个星期内都会有种便秘的感觉

um..i think vocab...
for me...
once i have any vocab...
i find up in the dictionary,
then write down in my notebk..
then after a week
i take out the voab again, and test how many did i rember...

因為作文係由唔同ge vocab組成ge~
用到唔同ge vocab~

可以試 intensive reading 同 extensive reading 一齊做...
intersive reading... 就好似你睇報紙咁... 找出一些有用而你亦想學的生字... 查字典，了解他們的解釋及用法...
extensive reading... 選擇一些你愛的英文書、雜誌來看，重覆的看，不單對學生字有益，整體來說，對學一種語言也是有有益的~
